[Dewey-Darrow] Update on community meeting re: assault

Dear Neighbors;  this on line group is forming as an umbrella group to  keep 
neighbors between Asbury and Dodge; Dempster and Main St. connected and  
informed about crime in the area and follow ups by the Evanston police  dept. THis 
group organized last nights community meeting to  address the break in/ 
assault in the area    If you want to  receive their mailing once a day you can sign 
up per instructions herein.

Hello,
 
Thank you to those who attended the Community Meeting last night at  
Washington School. Attached is a brief summary from the meeting. 
 
In light of the meeting, EPD has forwarded the attached arrest  report 
following a call that was made last night about gunfire. 
 
In the future, these notices (and other related information) will be sent  
via the Asbury Dodge Neighborhood Google Group. Join this group to  stay 
informed and to communicate with your neighbors.

I have heard from a number of people who are interested in leading a  
Neighborhood Watch Group. I will be in contact with those people soon who will  then 
contact people on their block in order to explain what a Neighborhood  Watch 
Group does and form the Group. 
 
If you are interested in being a Neighborhood Watch Group representative  for 
your block and you did not indicate this on the sign-in sheet last night  or 
tell me directly, please email me. If you may be interested but want to  
understand what is involved in leading the group, call or email me and I'd be  
happy to go over it with you.
 
If anyone is considering installing a home security system and would like  to 
be part of a "group buy", email me. We are in the process of  researching 
which system to go with. If you have input, please let me know. If  we have a 
number of houses who sign up with the same company, we should get a  discount and 
maybe a deeper discount or free system/waived monthly fees for  our neighbor 
on 1000 Florence.
 
Please forward this email to your neighbors who may not have received it.  I 
haven't inputted all the addresses from last night yet.
