I have a friend who knows a lot about parakeets and may have some ideas
about how to capture him. I'll copy her on this e-mail.

Hi, all: a beautiful parakeet just landed on our bird feeder in the
backyard. He is starving, I tried to get closer to give him more food, but
the bird is too scared. He can't fly too much or too high, probably his
wings were clipped. But I am afraid he will turn into cat's food soon - we
have a lot of stray cats that visit our backyard...

Has anyone lost a parakeet???
