[Dewey-Darrow] Public Service Challenge

*f you have ever thought about running for local office or wanted to work on
a campaign, then the Public Service Challenge is for you.* The PSC is a
where you can learn about campaigning and learn the ins and outs of what it
will take to serve as an elected official.
The Public Service Challenge (PSC) is a non-partisan 2-day workshop created
to provide practical information on campaigning and holding office in
Evanston. *It is open to anyone interested in supporting a campaign or
running for an elected office.* PSC is aimed at those interested in city and
school board elections set for April 2009.
The 2008 Public Service Challenge Workshops:

*The PSC brings together a variety of experts and leaders to share their
knowledge *of the local electoral process, including
- nominating petitions,
- organizing campaign committees,
- legal requirements for public office,
- fund raising activities,
- election laws and reporting requirements,
- the City and School budget,
- and other critical public issues.
The PSC is a collaborative effort coordinated by the Evanston Community
Foundation's Leadership Evanston Program in concert with other civic groups,
united in the desire to encourage Evanstonians to make a meaningful and
positive difference in the community by running for or participating in the
local political process.
