Dear Neighbors,
I am embarrassed to admit that earlier today Mark and I got taken in by a  
woman scam artist who claimed that she had had her car towed and didn't quite  
have enough money to pick it up. She claimed she was new in the neighborhood  
and didn't know many people. I took down her name, address, and phone and gave  
her the $18 she claimed she needed. She promised to have the money back to me 
 in an hour.
 
As you may guess, she didn't live at the address she gave me and her  phone 
number was not in service. I filed a police report tonight and made it  clear I 
was willing to press charges against her. I'm only out $18 but I  figure she 
will try this on other people, so here is a description:
 
White Female, mid to late 30s
5'6" to 5'8", apprximately 120 lbs.
long auburn hair, brown eyes
Tan or dark complexion
Heavy European accent (she said she was from Italy although she didn't  sound 
Italian to me)
Very crooked lower teeth
 
If anyone is approached by her, just call 911!
