[Dewey-Darrow] another home break in

Dear Neighbors-  on Wednesday this week another home in our  neighborhood 
was broken into-  at 1232 Darrow-   the woman who  lives there wrote to our 
list to let us know (and it was listed in the city  crime stats yesterday)  
that sometime between 11am -8pm  people came  in thru an unsecured door- took 
electronic equipment like Wi-Fi's  game  boys etc and vandalized the house. 
   THe police took finger  prints and we hope they are following up on this 
;   the house  directly across the street at 1235 was the site of an 
attempted break in three  weeks ago when two young men tried to cut the screen on 
the alley to get  in.   We have yet to hear from the detectives that they 
have had any  conversation with those two young men who were actually 
identified by a  neighbor/an eye witness to this attempted break in. Since the 
witness knew who  they were let's hope they are following up on that lead!!!!
 
  I will be sending a flyer soon from Ald Jean-Baptiste who is holding  a 
community meeting  next Thursday at 7pm at Robt Crown -  with  
representatives from the police dept there for us to speak  with.    I would encourage 
everyone to attend.
