[Dewey-Darrow] Property standards contact information

Neighbors;
          At last nights  meeting there was discussion about what to do 
about local properties that are  not being kept up to city code standards-  
especially if there are  abandoned homes due to forclosures etc- or just 
negligence on the part of  property owners.      Rather than calling the  
department director who was at the meeting last night- (who could take time to  
reach) my advise is to call:
    Maria Cupp- at Evanston Property Standards Dept-  847-866-2927
OF all the people i have dealt with in that dept over the years i have  
found Maria to be pleasant and the most responsive and responsible =- she  will 
take your complaint and make sure to gets to the inspector for your  area.  
   A call to Maria will result in action.    And if it doesn't in a timely 
way call her back and she will pursue  it!!!!!
