Hey Lionel!

Contrary to what ALL media coverage of your forthcoming election has stated, I guess you are going to be facing additional candidacies here in the 2nd ward after all – since I recently received 2 announcements (regarding aldermanic candidates websites) in my email via the Pick A Cup service. In light of that fact I would propose that this referenced message be amended to read as indicated (by the underlined italics).

“To our neighbors;

We (?-authors note-see my next posting about this) would like to suggest that as we enter the local political season in Evanston that our list serves in each of these neighborhood areas remain free of endorsements, supportive statements, or even meeting announcements about any particular candidate(s), especially with respect as to the neighborhoods that the announced candidates would be serving.

Rather let us continue to use this valuable resource of connection between neighbors wisely for important announcements and actions of interest to us individually in our specifically affected area(s) - including announcements of events where ALL candidates of the specifically affected area(s) may be speaking - so we can attend and learn about all aldermanic and/or mayoral candidates of our individual area(s) in order to make informed decisions.

Thanks”

Please contact me at your earliest convenience,
