[Dewey-Darrow] Keep neighborhood listservs out of politics #2

Bob, Friends--
I forwarded the message about the 3 candidates in the 4th ward
(Dickelle did too since we check our e-mail at the same time and great
minds think alike). This was at the request of the person who
originally put together the e-mail but wasn't on our list. He tried
to send it out himself but it only accepts messages from subscribers.
I should point out the 4th ward is just east of our ward so doesn't
really include the "proper" Dewey-Darrow boundaries, but might still
be of some interest to our neighbors. Our list is the oldest in the
area so we may have collected some fourth-warders along the way.
Since his message contained unbiased information about the candidates
with the intent to inform our neighbors on an important topic it
seemed like a fair use of the list. I received a flyer earlier today
that advertises all the candidate forums and debate. I will share
this with the three neighborhood lists under separate cover for the
same reasons.
We did not discuss the e-mail list at our last meeting. Alderman Jean-
Baptiste did answer several questions, including some regarding the
campaigns. For now I think "no politics" is a good unwritten rule so
I won't recap any of those here :)
