Dear Neighbors;
I am forwarding this appeal because i think it is worthy of our  attention.  
If you agree with this call for action please do  so.   I have know Lorraine 
Morton for many years and know that she is  a woman of character, integrity and 
grace who has devoted her entire adult  life to service in this community- to 
it's children and then to the larger  community. I can think of no better way 
to honor her service that this  action.   And while she may be "retiring" now 
in the ninth decade of  her life- she will no doubt continue to serve in some 
way- as she still moves  and grooves like this is only her fourth 
decade!!!!!!!!!! Please consider  supporting this move,

 Dear Evanston Community,
A  committee has been formed to voice their opinion and other on the possible 
 name change of Haven Middle School to the LORRAINE  MORTON  Middle School in 
honor of Evanston’s Mayor and  former Haven Principal.  It is a  tremendous 
honor to have a school named after you.  Mayor Morton is worthy of this  honor. 
 Mayor Morton has been a  champion for education throughout her career.  Her 
love of students, teachers, and  the Evanston community is like non-other.  
The Evanston community has grown and  improved under Mayor Morton’s leadership.  
 
Please  join us in showing our support to honor our Mayor by renaming Haven 
Middle  School in her honor.  We asked  that you send emails and call to 
Evanston/Skokie School board members to show  your support.  The following is  the
