[Dewey-Darrow] Breakins

Hi all, Well, I guess he strikes again! At 2:30 this morning our bell was rung by the police, there was a multi home breakin. During the night someone cut our gate lock, our shed lock, the lock on the shed next to ours and ? at some point began to open the bldng door nex to that.We are talking 1615, 1617,and1619 Crain.Thank God, the police surprised him and he fled our yard leaving his bolt cutters,gloves, and the locks he cut off behind with (we hope ) his fingerprints. Maybe this will be the break we need to catch this idiot! We never heard a thing, the dogs didn't complain except one little bark, and we didn't react. we should have. 
I also need to thank the evanston police, because without their diligence, we would have found a big mess this morning, they were very much on the job.
To me this just reiterates the importance of everyone being alert for the greater good. I would love to know if anyone heard anything?  thanks Mary Jo
