>Evanston, Ill. - Evanston fire investigators say the cause of an early
>morning fire at a house is still under investigation.  Fire
>investigators completed the preliminary investigation, turning the
>building back over to the property owners for further investigation by
>their insurance company.

>The Evanston Fire Department received 911 reports of a roof fire at 1125
>Dewey, at approximately 3:54 a.m.

>Upon arrival, Engine Company 24 reported heavy fire from the roof in the
>rear of the building. Fire damage was severe on 2nd and 3rd floors.
>Damage was estimated at $200,000. 
>
>The building was unoccupied at the time of the fire; no civilian
>injuries; 3 firefighters sustained minor injuries. A 2nd level MABAS Box
>Alarm was initiated to provide coverage to the City of Evanston and
>additional fire and medical units to the scene to assist with
>extinguishment and overhaul support at the fire building.
