Don Wilson - 4th ward alderman is also looking into this i would
encourage all area residents to call the EPD at 866-5000 and insist that
they find a way to address this danger TODAY!! someone there has the keys
to the animal shelter!!!!

A police officer (Kevin Anderson) came out to take another report and he
told us that the more of our neighborhood that gets involved, the more
results we’ll get.

Sandy- I would suggest that you call the police and demand- on behalf of
the safety of other humans and dogs in our neighborhood - that the police
find a way to impound this dog immediately- if the city has cut back on
the wardens hours to help balance the budget- they still must deal with
dangers in our community-----it is their responsibility as "protectors of
public safety"- if this was a human running free with a gun or knife you can be
sure they would be all over it!!!! ; demand they address it!!!!!! I am
fearful of walking my dogs until this is resolved.

We want to let everyone know that a vicious pit bull was off leash
Saturday night around midnight and attacked our chocolate lab while we were out
walking. We were in the 1000 block of Florence and the dog apparently
lives in the 1500 block of Greenleaf. Delli required stitches to her face
and is spending the night at Animal 911. I was seen at Ev Hosp Er for a leg
wound. The animal warden is off duty until Monday so this dog cannot be
impounded until then at the earliest! This seems totally outrageous!
Watch your kids out playing and dog owners be on the alert Sunday. It was
very scary and I think we were actually very very lucky it wasn’t worse.
It was really awful.

Hi Neighbors,
We're having a multi-family yard sale tomorrow, Saturday the 20th, from
9-2pm on Florence between Greenleaf and Lee. On offer will be furniture and
accessories, baby toys and clothes, kitchen tools and lots, lots more!
Hope to see you there!
