>Hello All-
>it's the first time I'm e-mailing the group, but I received something from=
my sister that I thought should be shared. Her son attends Walker school (=
on Church just west of McCormick, part of Dist. 65, where many of our kids =
attend school) and she received the following from one of the mom's in the =
school. Nothing happened, but let's keep our eyes open, our kids and neighb=
orhood safe.

>Hello neighbors and friends.
>>>=20
>>>I wanted to let you know of a disturbing circumstance that happened this=
past Saturday afternoon, which we have decided we are going to inform the =
police about. Brandon (our 6 year old) was playing in the front yard alone=
. We were in the house, but we were not watching him at the time. He said=
an African-American male pulled up in an all-white car and started talking=
to Brandon through the car window. The man tried to engage conversation, =
told him he was a friend of his dad's and to tell his dad "hi." Brandon ca=
me inside and told me about this, but by the time I got outside, the guy wa=
s gone. We have no idea who this guy could be, so we have decided to infor=
m the police about the incident. Brandon also described the white car as "=
old-fashioned, like his grandparents would drive," so that might be an Olds=
mobile or Chevy Impala or something.

>>>A scary reminder to keep our eyes on our kids, and reinforce the danger =
of strangers!
>>>=20
>>>Please feel free to pass along to others (I'm missing lots of emails, li=
ke Laura Jacobs) and even the Hartzell St yahoo group (since I am not on th=
at).

>>>Thanks,
>>>Kristin
