<P id=P38><FONT id=FONT39 face=Arial><IMG id=IMG40 border=0 hspace=2 alt="" vspace=2 align=left src="http://www.cityofevanston.org/images/police/logo_police.gif" width=150 height=114>The men and women of the Evanston Police and Fire Departments in conjunction with <A id=A41 href="http://www.lifesource.org/" rel=nofollow target=_blank>Life Source</A> will be hosting a replenishment blood drive and fundraiser for one of their own, Police Officer Joseph Bush, who is in critical condition at Lutheran General Hospital. </FONT></DIV>
<P id=P42><FONT id=FONT43 face=Arial>Officer Joseph Bush was seriously injured in a motorcycle accident a few weeks ago and required numerous blood transfusions. He remains in critical, but stable condition. <P id=P45><FONT id=FONT46 face=Arial><STRONG id=STRONG47>The date of the drive will be December 14 from 11a.m-6 p.m. at the Evanston Fire Department Headquarters located at 909 Lake Street in Evanston. </STRONG></FONT></DIV>
<P id=P48><FONT id=FONT49 face=Arial><STRONG id=STRONG50>Blood donors of all types are needed everyday; from critically ill patients, accident victims, people needing surgery and to those patients suffering chronic diseases such as cancer and leukemia. </STRONG> </FONT></DIV>
<P id=P51><FONT id=FONT52 face=Arial>Blood donors must be at least 16 years old (with a parental consent form) or older, weigh 110 lbs and be in general good health. There is no upper age limit and most medications are accepted. Please make sure to have breakfast or lunch prior to donating and bring identification with you. Only 30 minutes of your time can help save lives! <BR id=BR53> <BR id=BR54>All donors will receive a free cholesterol screening, blood pressure reading and iron screening! Giving blood will not only help save another person’s life but possibly yours. When you give blood, it is regenerating new red blood cells in your body. Think of it as an oil change for your body! </FONT></DIV>
