<P style="MARGIN: 1em 0pt">Melanie Shouse, a MoveOn Council leader in St. Louis and tireless advocate for health care reform, recently passed away after a four year battle with breast cancer—while still in the midst of a fight with her insurance company to cover her chemotherapy treatments.</DIV>
<P style="MARGIN: 1em 0pt"><SPAN style="FONT-STYLE: italic">We cannot keep going like this. </SPAN>Nearly 45,000 Americans die each year because they lack adequate health care. Reforming our broken system is nothing short of a national emergency—and it needs to happen now. <BR></DIV>
<P style="MARGIN: 1em 0pt"><SPAN style="FONT-WEIGHT: bold">So I'm working with the local MoveOn Council to organize an event tomorrow in Skokie. </SPAN>We'll stand up and make sure Congress knows that voters want them to stop stalling and pass comprehensive health care reform now. <BR></DIV>
